Discovery of ancient art

At that age...my Dad looked like a giant. The sloppy hair and ungroomed mustache is possible. I'll have to look for a photo to confirm.

Facebook Status Cartoons....

I'll be doing weekly cartoons of friends FB status updates. I hope you gain some amusement from this. Expect the artwork to be loose and crude, I don't plan on spending to much time with this.

The Sportsmen's Club Characters

Some old school artwork done for The Sportsmen's Club now Callahan's. Used as point of purchase to sell chicken wings and beer. I'll add the cigar logo if I find that too.

The 80's influences in my art....

For those that know me I'm not much for looking back at old art projects. The next project is always the best....but here is a look back. In the 1980's I went to Mohawk Valley CC in Utica N.Y. and if it was not for the invention of facebook, I doubt I'd have much thought of looking back. This piece was for a class Hank Godlewski taught. FYI...Hank passed away in 2008 he was a fine teacher and a talented illustrator. I wonder what happened to his massive collection of TV guide covers? We learned of Bob Peak, Richard Amsel, Bernie Fuchs and it was good! HaHa. I was also influenced in by the 80's work of Denis Mukai, Leroy Newman.
About the above piece....Ronald Reagan had a popular presidential rating. I was showing a political issue of those trying to change his popularity. Ronald Reagan did receive my vote for those politicooos who wish to attack me. The poverty characters were inspired by Will Eisner. The materials used were ink, dyes, markers and???. Lets' just say mixed media.

Syracuse Nationals Artsy Stuff

Click photo to enlarge
I had the opportunity to go to the Syracuse Nationals on 7.19.09. I just wanted to share some artsy stuff. From Awesome Airbrush, Talented Pinstripers, Cool Graphic Art of Max Grundy, and some comic book culture ("Batmobile" Adam West with Julie Newmar). The trendy saying now is to refer to this as "non-art" because it does not fall under traditional art. Like tattoo's I anticipate seeing much growth and exposure in this market for years to come.
